“Socializing is as exhausting as giving blood. People assume we loners are misanthropes, just sitting thinking, ‘Oh, people are such a bunch of assholes,’ but it’s really not like that. We just have a smaller tolerance for what it takes to be with others. It means having to perform. I get so tired of communicating.”—Anneli Rufus (via sweetlikethesixties)
This challenge has really flown by, and I don’t know if I like it that way. While it’s been intense and draining at times, I feel generally good. I’m definitely starting to notice real changes in my body and in my practice, though… pictures to come (: Doing some home practice tonight, then up for 6 AM Bikram tomorrow!
“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.”—Paulo Coelho (via creatingaquietmind)
